SPIN: Canberra’s Weekends on Wheels is a month-long celebration of Canberra’s love for all things that spin.
There are four packed weekends throughout October, which promise fun for anyone who has always loved their wheels and just can’t wait to get out there and enjoy them.
From wheeled things like cars, bicycles, skateboards and other vehicles, through sports like wheelchair basketball, ultimate frisbee, BMX and discus, to other pleasures in life such as roller derby, caravans, potters’ wheels, spinning wheels, DJs spinning tracks, spin bowling, and that speciality of the national capital – political spin.
In addition to the range of competitive events which Canberra hosts each year, SPIN brings special events to Canberra for the first time. Check out the Nike X SbA Australian Pro/Am Invitational Skateboarding Championships, the Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships, National Trust Centenary of Canberra Rally...
...and don't miss the huge SPIN: Canberra’s Weekend on Wheels from 18 – 20 October.

“I'm delighted to be collaborating with Canberra's many talented artists, petrol heads and fashion fiends to come up with some wild fun and a few surprises over the SPIN weekend.”

“SPIN encourages us all to step outdoors, to revel in our passion for wheels and to have fun. The Centenary of Canberra has so far been about many things – centenarians and youngsters, designers and builders, scientists and sportspersons, noble speeches and stimulating arts. This time it’s another chance to show the national capital’s capacity for joy. On yer bike Canberra!”
“Spring has sprung, the birds are riz, I wonder where my helmet is?”
